- The most prized award that Jim has received in his 30 years of carving is from Medina Ohio. Jim went head-to-head against Aaron Costic in a speed carving competition. Jim won the gold medal in the final round defeating Aaron Costic, the reigning champion and home town hero. Jim won by carving a sea turtle, “and it was glorious”.
